Sally and Jo will escape stormy Melbourne today and fly to Brisbane to attend National Geographic Channel's special screening of AUSTRALIA'S GREAT FLOOD. Queensland Premier, The Hon. Anna Bligh will address the people who bravely recorded last years horrific events and were able to share their stories with us. For the first time, our contributors will see thier stories unroll as AUSTRALIA'S GREAT FLOOD, narrated by Kieren Perkins is screened.
AUSTRALIA'S GREAT FLOOD tells the story of the devastating floods that hit Queensland in January 2011, caught on camera by those who lived through it. With personal footage recorded by over 70 contributors the film reveals a side of the floods that no news team could ever capture.
